FAQ & POLICIES

Illness

If you are experiencing COVID, flu, or *any other* contagious illness symptoms, please reschedule. I try very hard to stay healthy, so as not to have to cancel appointments. (Sadly, I do not have “sick leave” and it costs me a lot of money to be out sick!) If you are experiencing symptoms of illness but feel as though you are not contagious you may still be asked to wear a mask during your appointment. Let’s all stay well!

Late and/or Early arrivals

If you are running more than 5 or so minutes late, please let me know. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will have to forfeit your appointment and pay 25% of the cost of your appointment. If I get behind with one client I will likely be behind all day, and that is not fair to the clients scheduled after you. Likewise, if you are early, please wait in your car until your appointment time. I will come get you! The studio is small, and I don’t want any client to feel rushed at the end of their appointment because my next client is early. Some of my clients come to me specifically to avoid running into other people at the salon and truly want the place to themselves for the duration of their appointment, and I respect that and want to provide that for them. Also, to be completely honest, some days the only chance I get to eat a bite, drink water, breathe or run to the bathroom are in those 10 extra minutes at the end of an appointment, and I like to have a minute to sweep and clean up before starting my next appointment. As much as I truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of those of you who are early birds, it actually helps me so much to just try and stick to my schedule. Thank you so much for understanding!

Cancellation policy

My time spent with you is very valuable to me as a small business owner. Your appointment is reserved especially for you, and when a late cancellation or no show occurs, it directly affects my ability to make a living, as I may not be able to fill your spot without enough notice. If you need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, please do so 36 hours in advance. You will be receiving multiple text messages to remind you of upcoming appointments. Your first last minute cancellation or no-show will incur a fee of 30% of your appointment cost. If you have a second last minute cancellation or no-show, you will incur a 50% fee and lose the ability to book online. Saturday appointments are very sought after, therefore last minute cancellations or no-shows for Saturday appointments will result in an automatic fee of 50% of your scheduled service and you will lose the option to to book further Saturday appointments. Obviously, emergencies happen and people do wake up sick sometimes, and I will absolutely work with you if that is the case!

FAQ:

• Should I come with clean or dirty hair?

If you’re getting a dry haircut, your hair should be clean and straight. If you are getting color done, it’s best to come with clean hair. Some of today’s dry shampoos are a lot stronger than they used to be and can interfere with how your color processes. Otherwise, you can come with it dirty, oily hair doesn’t bother me!

• May I bring a guest or child with me?

Space is limited, but if they’re comfortable in my small reception area, it’s totally fine with me! Children are welcome, but I do ask you to use discretion. There are a lot of hot and sharp things around and they will need to stay seated in a reception chair with something to entertain them for the duration of your appointment. Obviously if you are nursing, bring that baby! I love getting baby snuggles!

• Can I bring work/school with me?

I have free wifi available for clients. You can totally bring your laptop and work during your appointment!

• What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, all major credit cards, Venmo, PayPal and CashApp.

• Is it okay if I don't want to engage in small talk?

Absolutely! I understand that your appointment is YOUR time. If you want to pop your ear buds in and watch a movie, read a book, close your eyes, or scroll your phone, I won’t be offended in the slightest.
